VIII LATIN AMERICAN ESP COLLOQUIUM

CALL FOR PAPERS
The Latin American ESP Colloquia provide a forum for sharing research results or experiences of research projects that are being carried out in the fields of ESP and EAP at university level.
This academic event started in Brazil in 1988, and it is held in a different Latin American country every two years. Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina and Colombia have already taken part in its organization. Its main characteristic is that all participants must present papers related to on going or recently finished research projects.
This year the FAAPI (Federacion Argentina de Asociaciones de Profesores de Ingles) and the ASPI (Asociacion Saltena de Profesores de Ingles) committees, responsible for the 2003 Annual FAAPI Conference, considered that the VIII LATIN AMERICAN ESP COLLOQUIUM could take place as one of the pre-conference academic events and therefore invited the ESP/EAP teachers of the National University of Salta to organize it.

a-VIII ESP Colloquium (16 and 17 September): 80 (pesos) until August 8th
b-VIII ESP Colloquium and the FAAPI Conference 2003 (16 to 20 September): 150 (pesos) until July 11th.
Notice: after that date there will be no special fee if you want to attend both events.
Notice: If you are a member of an Argentine Teachers of English Association and you are going to present papers in both events (Colloquium and FAAPI Conference) please write to the following e-mail to find out about your fees.

b-VIII ESP Colloquium and the FAAPI Conference 2003 (16 to 20 September):the equivalent to US$ 55 to be paid in pesos, taking into account the current exchange of September 16th .

NOTE:
On September 13,14 and 15 there is a very important religious festival in Salta called FIESTA DEL MILAGRO. It is therefore crucial to make hotel reservations as soon as you receive the acceptance of your papers.
As AeroliÂÂneas Argentinas is the only airline that is flying to Salta now, we would recommend all participants that are planning to come by plane to make their flight reservations well in advance to avoid future problems.
If you are coming by bus, please buy your tickets in advance too, because it is high season in our province. Thank you.
